Research Interests

Dr. Amm’s research goal is to conduct translational research to understand cellular signaling within human tumors and cancers for the development of better diagnostic and treatment modalities. She works with patient samples, cells, and animal models to conduct translational and basic science research. Studies include biomarker-based imaging for defining surgical margins for patients with ameloblastoma and other tumors/cancers. She is also interested in the role of the oral bacteria in progression and invasion of oral/oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
