Teaching Interests

My teaching interests include advanced practice nursing education in family practice and psychiatric mental health care across the lifespan. I am particularly interested in clinical instruction, evidence based practice, psychopharmacology, health assessment, and integration of behavioral health into primary care. Additional interests include clinical evaluation, quality improvement, and the use of informatics to support student learning and safe, effective patient care.

Research Interests

My clinical and research interests center on integrated primary and behavioral healthcare, with a particular focus on improving access, quality, and outcomes for diverse and underserved populations. As a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am especially interested in the integration of mental health services within primary care settings to address comorbid chronic medical and psychiatric conditions across the lifespan.

My professional interests include evidence based practice implementation, quality improvement initiatives, and faculty development within advanced practice nursing education. I am particularly focused on improving clinical workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, and provider preparedness through standardized education and informatics supported interventions. Additional areas of interest include preventive care, population health, health equity, and the use of clinical decision support tools to enhance patient safety and outcomes.

From an academic perspective, I am interested in nursing education scholarship related to clinical teaching effectiveness, adjunct faculty orientation and support, and the use of technology to enhance clinical oversight and student learning. My work is informed by implementation science and quality improvement frameworks, with the goal of translating evidence into sustainable practice change across clinical and educational settings.
