Utilizing industry best practices and standards, our professional project managers are dedicated to managing large projects and sharing best practices across the university.
Services
IE provides project management services for large, multi-unit efforts. A project manager
is assigned to work directly with a project leader from the functional area from the
initiation phase when the project and project teams are defined, to the implementation
phase when the project tasks are worked to deliver the deliverables and objectives
of the project, to the closing phase when the lessons learned are captured and the
project closes and moves to operations. IE's project managers integrate change management
strategies to ensure the achievement and sustainability of project deliverables.
All projects, initiatives, and services are planned and managed by our project managers by utilizing industry best practices and standards. The tools, templates, and processes used by IE Project Management are all based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) . IE’s facilitation services support units by providing a high-level administrative process that engages stakeholders, facilitates discussions, and advances progress towards identified university-level goals.
These services are provided to large-scale efforts which do not typically meet the IE project management criteria, but still require a process driver to ensure success.
IE provides training to units in project management processes, tools, and templates based on industry best practices and standards. This trains others to utilize project management best practices to plan, manage, and execute projects within their own unit.
IE provides coaching and mentoring services for units on project management best practices, tools, and processes. This includes sharing templates and techniques to assist in planning and managing any size project. IE Project Managers guide units through the project management process as the mentees serve in the role of project manager for their project.
