The Orientation Leader position is a prestigious leadership opportunity at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»
University. Orientation Leaders support the transition of new students and families
while gaining extensive leadership knowledge and experience.
Orientation Leaders prepare our new students, parents, and family members for a life-changing, life-saving education by guiding them through a comprehensive transition program to connect with resources,
community, and systems of care.
As an Orientation Leader, you will have the opportunity to:
- Attend our Orientation Leader Welcome on Tuesday, December 2 from 7:00-9:00 PM
- Lead and participate in all transition initiatives, including:
- New Student/Family Orientation, Summer 2026
- LEAP Week: Extended Orientation, Summer 2026
- Take Leadership 2000 in Spring 2026, a 3-credit-hour course designed to help you develop
your leadership skills
- Connect with a team of like-minded student leaders and receive mentorship from experienced
Student Coordinators, Interns, Graduate Assistants, and Professional Staff
- Leave an impact on new Jags, their family members, and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» community!
Eligibility Requirements
- Must plan to be a full-time student at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» from August 2025 - August
2026.
- Must be available to attend our mandatory Orientation Leader Welcome on Tuesday, December
2 from 7:00-9:00 PM (Reading Day)
- Must be available to take LDRS 2000 in Spring 2026 (T/R 5:30-6:45 PM)
- Must be available to work at all New Student Orientation sessions and LEAP Week
- Must have a minimum of a 2.2 GPA
- Must be in good standing with their academic college and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»
- Must be able to pass a background check through the Office of Human Resources at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»
